The DVA Claim Process - Initial Liability
Step 1: You may already know what yo need to claim for OR you can request for our team to review your medical file.
Not sure what you can claim for? Our team can help.
Step 2: Veteran/Member engages Med For Men to review their medical file.
Our dedicated team can review your medical file and assist in identifying injuries or conditions that are service related. We work with you to ensure you meet the requirements for claiming each condition. If you don't require this service, skip to step 3!
Step 3: Attend a consultation with our GP for completion of your Medical Diagnosis forms (NO COST TO THE VETERAN)
A General Practitioner needs to confirm your diagnosis. Some claimed conditions require evidence such as clinical imaging or specialist reports. Our GP will arrange referrals for you to have this done. A link to the required Diagnosis Form can be found below.
Step 4: Lodge your claims.
We can assist you with the upload of your claim forms and documentation using your MyService portal.
Step 5: Permanent Impairment Medical Assessments (COMPENSATION)
Our GPs can assist with the completion or Medical Assessment reports issued by DVA to help determine the level of impairment - Nominate Med For Men as your GP to have your assessment completed and lodged in a timely manner.
